Synopsis: The Losers is an adaptation of Vertigo a comic and action packed movie.

The story for the film goes like this – a team of Elite U.S.A. special force was sent to target and blow a Bolivian Drug Racket. However, after finding that the children are used as mules for trafficking, the team – Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar,  tried to call off the operation. But the team soon found themselves in the midst of betrayal and double-crossing and are up against a ruthless opponent, known as Max.

After being betrayed, the team makes plans to even the score with Max and are joined by one beautiful and mysterious – Aisha, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, who operates on her own agenda.  The rest of the movie was devoted to the team’s effort to get even with Max.

Review: The Losers was in the category of ‘B movies’ and made on a  decent budget of $25 million with less known stars (the exception was Avatar famed Zoe Saldana). The film grossly lacks in terms of a story but the action scenes were good.

The movie was very fast moving which is good since the storyline was weak. Also, the actors failed to make a mark, with an exception of Chris Evans, who has struck a right note with some funny sequences.

The Losers, too weak an adaptation to make a mark for itself, has failed to interest the movie goers and earned only $9,406,348 in the USA box office. If you like mindless action and don’t bother too much for a storyline then you may hit the theater for The Losers. Apart from some good moments, the film doesn’t have much to offer.

The screenwriters should have tried little harder to develop a storyline which would have interested more viewers  to watch the film. Overall, the movie has justified the title.
